CONTENT

 

The bill would amend Public Act 36 of 1919 (which concerns the planting of trees along highways and in public places) to repeal a section that provides for a credit to landowners against the “highway repair tax” of 5 cents for each tree planted by a landowner along a highway.

FISCAL IMPACT

 

The bill would have no fiscal impact on State or local government. The highway repair tax to which the credit applied was repealed in 1958.
