A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 5765 AS INTRODUCED 4-23-98


House Bill 5765 would create a new act to require the Department of Civil Rights to compile information relating to disparities among races who live in Michigan according to economic, education, health, and employment indicators. Under the bill, the department would be required to prepare a report based on that information within a year after the effective date of the bill, and to make that report available to the public.
