A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 6155 AS INTRODUCED 9-22-98


House Bill 6155 would amend the Michigan Vehicle Code to require that immediately after a passenger vehicle or pickup truck has towed or drawn another vehicle or trailer, the hitch (or other connection) used to secure the towed vehicle be removed from the towing vehicle. Under the bill, a person who violates this provision would be responsible for a civil infraction.
