        A bill to amend 1959 PA 168, entitled

   "An act to provide for township planning; for the creation,
   organization, powers and duties of township planning commissions;
   and for the regulation and subdivision of land,"

   (MCL 125.321 to 125.333) by amending the title and by adding sec-

   tion 3a.

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 1                                  TITLE

 2         An act to provide for township planning; for the creation,

 3    organization, powers and duties of township planning commissions;

 4     and  for the regulation and subdivision of land; AND TO PRE-

 5    SCRIBE PENALTIES AND PROVIDE REMEDIES.

 6         SEC. 3A.  A PETITION UNDER SECTION 3, INCLUDING THE CIRCULA-

 7    TION AND SIGNING OF THE PETITION, IS SUBJECT TO SECTION 488 OF

 8    THE MICHIGAN ELECTION LAW, 1954 PA 116, MCL 168.488.  A PERSON

 9    WHO VIOLATES A PROVISION OF THE MICHIGAN ELECTION LAW, 1954 PA

 2    THIS SECTION IS SUBJECT TO THE PENALTIES PRESCRIBED FOR THAT VIO-

 5         Enacting section 1.  This amendatory act does not take

 6    effect unless Senate Bill No. _____ or House Bill No. _____
