A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4287 AS INTRODUCED 2-23-99
House Bill 4287 would amend the Michigan Vehicle Code to require that a vehicle owner's application for registration include the color of the motor vehicle in the vehicle description. Currently that description must include the make or name, style of body and model year, the number of miles, whether the vehicle is to be used as a taxi or police vehicle or by a political subdivision of the state, whether the vehicle has previously been issued a salvage or rebuilt certificate of title, the vehicle identification number, and the vehicle weight (including, if a trailer coach or pickup camper, the manufacturer's serial number).
