A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4650 AS INTRODUCED 5-11-99


The bill would amend the General Sales Tax Act to designate February 20 of each year as the sales tax-free Michigan holiday, beginning in the year 2000. Under the bill, all sales of tangible personal property transacted on February 20 would be exempt from the sales tax.
