A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4813 AS INTRODUCED 6-17-99

House Bill 4813 would create the MIChild Program Act, and would specify certain eligibility criteria for the MIChild program, which would be established to protect and promote children's health. The bill would specify that, in addition to other eligibility criteria, a child under age 19 whose family income was at, or below, 250 percent of the federal poverty level, would be eligible for the program. (Note: Funds were appropriated for the MIChild Program under Public Act 336 of 1998.)
