A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 5820 AS INTRODUCED 5-23-00

The bill would amend the Horse Racing Law of 1995 to raise the legal age to bet on horse racing from 18 to 21 years of age. Under the bill, the holder of a race meeting license could not knowingly allow a person under 21 to be a patron of the pari-mutuel wagering conducted or supervised by that license holder.
