A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 5964 AS INTRODUCED 10-3-00


The bill would amend the Telecommunications Act to add a new section that would require the Public Service Commission (PSC) to establish standards for the quality of services provided by regulated telecommunications providers within this state. The bill would require the PSC to provide proper notice, hold a hearing, and issue an order setting forth the quality of service standards no later than July 1, 2001.
