Mans, Jacobs, Hale, Vear, Daniels, Minore and Lemmons and referred to the Committee on
Appropriations.


        A bill to make appropriations for the state transportation
depart-

   ment for certain transportation purposes for the fiscal year ending

   September 30, 2000; and to provide for the expenditure of the

   appropriations.

                   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 1          Sec. 101.  There is appropriated from the state
              trunkline fund-road

 2     and bridge programs under section 110 of 1999 PA 136
              $3,500,000.00 for

 3     the purposes described in section 105.

 4          Sec. 103.  The expenditures and funding sources
              authorized under

 5     this act are subject to the management and budget act,
              1984 PA 431,

 6     MCL 18.1101 to 18.1594.

 7          Sec. 105.  From the amount appropriated in section
              110 of 1999 PA

 8     136 for road and bridge programs, the state
              transportation department

 9     shall include the following projects:

 1          (a) The extension of the current passing lane on US-223 in Lenawee

 2     County from Rome Road to the city of Adrian.

 3          (b) The construction of a passing lane on US-223
              between the city

 4     limits of Palmyra and the city limits of Blissfield.
