Transportation.


        A bill to designate the part of the bypass of highway US-131

   that is located between highway M-115 and Boon road in Wexford

   county as the "Sidney Ouwinga Memorial Bypass"; and to prescribe

   the duties of the state transportation department.

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

           Sec. 1.  The part of the bypass of highway US-131 that is

 2
      located between highway M-115 and Boon road in Wexford county

 3
      shall be known as the "Sidney Ouwinga Memorial Bypass".

           Sec. 2.  The state transportation department shall only pro-

 5
      vide for the erection of suitable markers at the approach to the

 6
      part of the highway described in section 1 when sufficient pri-

 7
      vate contributions are received to pay the cost of erecting the

 8
      markers.
