        A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled

   "Natural resources and environmental protection act,"

   by amending section 48726 (MCL 324.48726), as added by 1995 PA

   57.

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

           Sec. 48726.  The  NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF

 2
      THIS ACT, THE department may adopt fishing  rules and

 3
      regulations  ORDERS as it considers necessary for the harvest of

 4
       new species of game fish including coho or silver salmon,

 5
      kokanee salmon, chinook salmon, and striped bass in any of the

 6
      waters of this state  SALMON AND TROUT, INCLUDING COHO SALMON,

 7
      CHINOOK SALMON, PINK SALMON, ATLANTIC SALMON, LAKE TROUT, BROOK

 8
      TROUT, BROWN TROUT, RAINBOW TROUT, AND SPLAKE, ON THE GREAT LAKES

 9
      AND THEIR CONNECTING WATERS.  THE ADOPTION OF AN ORDER UNDER THIS
