        Appropriations.



        A bill to amend 1984 PA 431, entitled

   "The management and budget act,"

   (MCL 18.1101 to 18.1594) by adding section 443a.

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 1         SEC. 443A.  PROCEEDS OF A LAWSUIT SETTLEMENT AS DESCRIBED IN

 2    SECTION 33(2) AND (3) OF 1846 RS 12, MCL 14.33, SHALL NOT BE

 3    EXPENDED UNLESS APPROPRIATED BY LAW.
