SENATE BILL NO. 461

        A bill to amend 1971 PA 79, entitled

   "Age of majority act of 1971,"

   by amending section 3 (MCL 722.53).

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 1         Sec.  3.  (1)  This  EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN
             SUBSECTION (2),

 2    THIS act supersedes all provisions of law prescribing duties,

 3    liabilities, responsibilities, rights, and legal capacity of per-

 4    sons 18 years of age through 20 years of age different from per-

 5    sons 21 years of age OR OLDER, including, but not limited to, ALL

 6    OF the following:  enumerated public acts: 

 7          Sections 2 and 6 of Act No.  372 of the Public Acts of

 8     1927, as amended, being sections 28.422 and 28.426 of the

 9     Compiled Laws of 1948.

10          Section 1 of Act No.  53 of the Public Acts of 1921,
                       being

11     section 41.501 of the Compiled Laws of 1948.
