SENATE BILL NO. 610


   May 20, 1999, Introduced by Senators BENNETT, NORTH, STEIL, 
        MC MANUS, GOSCHKA and SHUGARS and referred to the 
        Committee on Local, Urban and State Affairs.



        A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled

   "Natural resources and environmental protection act,"

   (MCL 324.101 to 324.90106) by adding subpart 17 to part 21.

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 1                    PART 21 GENERAL REAL ESTATE POWERS

 2      SUBPART 17 SALE OF STATE OWNED LANDS SUBJECT TO ENVIRONMENTAL

 3                                REGULATION

 4         SEC. 2163.  A PARCEL OF STATE OWNED LAND THAT IS SUBJECT TO

 5    PROTECTION, DESIGNATION, OR ZONING UNDER PART 303, 305, OR 353

 6    MAY NOT BE SOLD BY THE DEPARTMENT UNLESS THE DEPARTMENT COMPLIES

 7    WITH THE NOTICE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 1251A OF THE MANAGEMENT

 8    AND BUDGET ACT, 1984 PA 431, MCL 18.1251A.

 9         Enacting section 1.  This amendatory act does not take

10    effect unless Senate Bill No. 611
