A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4425 AS INTRODUCED 3-7-01

House Bill 4425 would amend the Revised School Code to require that a contract authorized by an intermediate school district (ISD) to organize and administer a public school academy contain, among other things, an agreement that the employees of the academy would be covered by the collective bargaining agreements that apply to ISD employees in similar job classifications within its schools or programs that are not public school academies. Currently under the law, this requirement applies to public school academies when they are authorized by a school district.
