A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4578 AS INTRODUCED 4-17-01
The Motor Fuels Quality Act (MCL 290.643) requires the director of the Department of Agriculture (or an authorized representative) to set standards for the amount and type of additives that may be included in gasoline. House Bill 4578 would amend the law so that the standards required a 10 percent oxygenate blend for all gasoline in the state.
