A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4768 AS INTRODUCED 5-15-01
Currently, under the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act (NREPA) the annual permit fee for entrance to a state park is $10. An exception to this is provided for a person 65 years of age or older, who receives a special annual park permit for one-quarter that amount.
House Bill 4768 would amend the act to allow certain other individuals to purchase an additional annual park permit at the reduced fee. The bill would specify a person who had already purchased an annual park permit requested a permit for an additional motor vehicle, then the additional permit fee would be one-quarter the amount of the annual park permit fee. The bill would specify that the additional motor vehicle would have to be registered in the person's name.
