CONTENT


The bill would create a new act to designate the overpass located at the intersection of highways I-75 and M-57 in Genesee County as the Bernie Borden Memorial Overpass.


The Michigan Department of Transportation would have to provide for the erection of suitable markers at the overpass indicating its name only when sufficient private contributions were received to pay the cost of erecting the markers.

FISCAL IMPACT


The bill would have no fiscal impact on State or local government. There would be no costs to the State for the erection of markers at the overpass as private contributions would have to pay for the cost of erecting these markers. Maintenance costs, if any, would be minimal and would be borne by the Michigan Department of Transportation.
