FY 2002-03 Senate Passed:
1. Early Retirement Savings. The revised Governor's recommendation (submitted after House action) requires the State Budget Director to submit legislative transfers by November 15, 2002 that allocate early retirement savings to applicable line items. The Senate concurs. (Sec. 216)
2. History of Negro League Baseball Curriculum. The Senate provides funding to research and develop K-12 curriculum to address the role of Negro league baseball in Michigan and American history and its historical context in the African-American community. The grants would be awarded to institutions that could coordinate with educational institutions to create and implement the curriculum. The House did not include this. (Sec. 507)
