        A bill to amend 1927 PA 375, entitled

   "An act to provide for the collection of past due moneys and
   accounts belonging to the state of Michigan; to create a depart-
   ment therefor; to prescribe the duties of state officers, depart-
   ments, commissions and institutions in relation thereto; and to
   make appropriations for defraying the expenses thereof,"

   by amending section 3 (MCL 14.133).

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

             Sec. 3.   It shall be the duty of every  EACH state officer,

 2
        department, institution, or commission from time to time  to

 3
        SHALL forward to  said collection  THE department OF TREASURY

 4
        statements of all delinquent and past due  moneys  MONEY, spe-

 5
        cific taxes, and accounts owing or belonging to  the  THIS state,

 6
         of Michigan,  or any department, commission, or institution

 7
         thereof  OF THIS STATE, together with  such  ANY information as

 8
        may be necessary to enable  said  THE department OF TREASURY to

 9
        carry out the purposes of this act.   It shall be the duty of

        said collection  THE department  to OF TREASURY SHALL keep an

 2
        accurate record and account of all  such  THOSE statements;  to

 3
        SHALL enforce payment and collection  thereof  OF THOSE AMOUNTS;

 4
         to  SHALL keep an accurate account of all  moneys  MONEY col-

 5
        lected;  to  SHALL report monthly all collections made to the

 6
         auditor general and also the  department, commission, or insti-

 7
        tution to which  such  THAT indebtedness has been incurred; and

 8
         to  SHALL pay over monthly to the state treasurer all  moneys

 9
        MONEY collected unless otherwise provided by law.
