A bill to amend 1952 PA 111, entitled
"An act to provide for the establishment of the Michigan
veterans' vocational school at Pine lake (Doster, Michigan) as a
state institution under the control of the state board of
education,"
by amending the title and sections 1 and 2 (MCL 395.151 and
395.152).
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 TITLE
2 An act to provide for the establishment of the Michigan
3 veterans' vocational school at Pine lake (Doster, Michigan) as a
4 state institution under the
control of the state
board of
5 education
DEPARTMENT OF CAREER DEVELOPMENT.
6 Sec. 1. The
THIS state of Michigan having
already HAS
7 accepted a gift from the Kellogg foundation of the Michigan
8 veterans' vocational school at Pine lake (Doster, Michigan)

1 together with all its properties,
real, personal,
and mixed. ,
2 said
THE school shall be continued as a state
institution under
3 the name of state
technical institute and
rehabilitation center
4 THE MICHIGAN CAREER AND TECHNICAL INSTITUTE under the supervision
5 and management of the
state board of education
DEPARTMENT OF
6 CAREER DEVELOPMENT.
As a state institution, it
THE SCHOOL
7 shall be operated in accordance with policies and curricula
8 established by the
state board of education
DEPARTMENT OF
9 CAREER DEVELOPMENT.
10 Sec. 2. The
state board of education
DEPARTMENT OF CAREER
11 DEVELOPMENT is
authorized to accept gifts , AND
grants or
12 devises of property, real,
personal, or mixed ,
for the benefit
13 of the state
technical institute and
rehabilitation center, and
14 it is further
authorized and empowered to MICHIGAN
CAREER AND
15 TECHNICAL INSTITUTE. THE DEPARTMENT OF CAREER DEVELOPMENT MAY do
16 any other act or
acts necessary in the proper
management of
17 it: Provided, That
the MICHIGAN CAREER AND
TECHNICAL
18 INSTITUTE. THE
acceptance of such gifts , OR
grants or
19 devises of property does not
obligate the THIS
state to con-
20 tinue these programs nor require state matching funds to make
21 such programs operative.
