A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4445 AS INTRODUCED 3-25-03
The child care licensing act (Public Act 116 of 1973) permits a child caring institution with a licensed capacity of six or fewer residents to be concurrently licensed as an adult foster care small group home. The bill would delete a provision that prohibits the child caring institution from receiving any additional children (other than those related to current residents) after it files the application to operate as an adult foster care small group home.
