Conference Agreement on Items of Difference
8. Cervidae Licensing and Registration. The Governor proposed a fee increase, program increase, and funding shift associated with privately-owned cervidae facilities. The Senate rejects the Governor's proposal and replaces fees with GF/GP. The House rejects the fee increase, but supports the program increase using the Ag Equine Fund to replace GF/GP. The Conference Committee concurs with the Senate. 0
9. GF/GP Reductions. The Senate reduces funding for Commission travel, management services, statistical reporting service, local conservation districts, export market development, and information technology, totaling $347,900. The House did not make these reductions. The Conference Committee includes $248,000 of the Senate cuts. (248,000)
10. Detroit Casino Revenue. The Governor reduced appropriations from the Agriculture Equine Industry Development Fund to redirect a portion of the Detroit casino tax to the General Fund. The Senate maintains the $6.1 million in the budget, directing the funding to horse programs and fairs. The House maintains the funding.
