SUBSTITUTE FOR

HOUSE BILL NO. 4024

     A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled

"Natural resources and environmental protection act,"

(MCL 324.101 to 324.90106) by adding section 74103a.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

Sec. 74103a. Prior to opening a new state park, expanding the

boundaries of an existing state park, or transferring or acquiring

property within the boundaries of an existing state park, the

department shall notify, in writing, each affected local unit of

government.
