A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled
"Natural resources and environmental protection act,"
by amending section 46502 (MCL 324.46502), as added by 1995 PA 57.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec.
46502. (1) A person shall not set, place, erect, or
cause to be set, placed, or erected, or use a fishing shanty at any
time
upon the ice in waters over which
the this state
has
jurisdiction,
unless the name and address of the owner is both of
the following are affixed to each side of the outside of the
fishing shanty:
(a) The owner's name and address in legible letters not less
than 2 inches in height. The letters shall be readily visible and
consist
of materials that are not soluble in water. (2) Placing
the owner's name and address on a piece of wood, plastic, or other
material and affixing that piece of material to the fishing shanty
is
not compliance with this section subdivision.
(b) Not less than 8 square inches of red reflective material.
