A bill to amend 1965 PA 380, entitled
"Executive organization act of 1965,"
by amending section 300 (MCL 16.400).
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 300. (1) There is hereby created a department of
education.
(2) The duties of the department shall include notifying each
college or university in this state that offers a teacher
preparation program and each at-risk school, as defined in section
2 of the excellence in education act, of the availability of the
teacher loan forgiveness program established in the excellence in
education act.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect
unless Senate Bill No. _____ or House Bill No. 4344(request no.
01457'09) of the 95th Legislature is enacted into law.
