A bill to amend 1939 PA 280, entitled
"The social welfare act,"
(MCL 400.1 to 400.119b) by adding section 14k.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 14k. (1) The department or the department of community
health shall not require membership in a labor union as an
eligibility requirement to receive a subsidy for caregiving under
this act.
(2) The department or the department of community health shall
inform a person receiving a subsidy for caregiving under this act
of his or her right to decline participation in a labor union as
part of receiving a subsidy for caregiving under this act.
