SUMMARY:

The bill would require that preference be given to employment of veterans at any veterans facility in the state.  However, this preference would not apply to employment contracts entered into prior to enactment of the bill.

The bill is an amendment to Public Act 152 of 1885, an act to authorize the establishment of facilities for former members of the armed forces of the United States in Michigan

FISCAL IMPACT:

House Bill 4048 would have no fiscal impact on the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency.
