A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled

"The revised school code,"

(MCL 380.1 to 380.1852) by adding section 1507c.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 1507c. Notwithstanding any provision in this act to the contrary, the board of a school district or intermediate school district or board of directors of a public school academy shall ensure that each school operated by the board or board of directors does not provide classroom instruction, including, but not limited to, classroom instruction provided by school personnel of the school or classroom instruction provided at the school by third parties, concerning sexual orientation or gender identity to pupils in any of grades K to 3 or in any manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for pupils.
